The Premiership has split in half after 33 games - with each club now playing the others in its 'half' for a fourth and final time.The champions will enter the Champions League at the group stage (following Russian clubs' ban from Uefa's 2022-23 competitions), with the Premiership runners-up entering at the third qualifying round. Meanwhile, if Rangers win the Europa League, they will enter at the group stage.Celtic and Rangers have already booked their Champions League places, while Hearts are guaranteed to finish third. Celtic will win the title unless they lose their last two games and Rangers win both of theirs, while making up a 20-goal swing in goal difference.
Because either Rangers or Hearts will win the Scottish Cup, Hearts will enter the Europa League at the play-off round, with the fourth and fifth-placed Premiership teams (two from Dundee United, Ross County and Motherwell) entering the Europa Conference League at the third and second qualifying rounds respectively.The Premiership's bottom club will be relegated to the Scottish Championship, while the 11th-placed team will enter a play-off with three Championship sides.Bottom club Dundee will be relegated unless they win their last two games and St Johnstone lose theirs, with a seven-goal swing in goal difference. Whichever of those two teams is not relegated, will enter the play-off.
Kilmarnock were promoted to the Scottish Premiership as champions after beating nearest rivals Arbroath 2-1 on 22 April.In the two-legged play-off semi-final, runners-up Arbroath will face Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 10 and 13 May. The winners will meet the 11th-placed Premiership side, again on a home and away basis on 20 and 23 May, for the final place in next season's Premiership.Bottom club Queen of the South were relegated to Scottish League One on 23 April. Ninth-placed Dunfermline Athletic were relegated on 7 May after losing their play-off semi-final against League One side Queen's Park.
Cove Rangers were promoted to the Scottish Championship as League One champions on 23 April after beating Dumbarton 1-0.In the play-off final for the second promotion place, Queen's Park will face Airdrieonians over two legs on 12 and 15 May.Bottom club East Fife were relegated to Scottish League Two on 16 April after losing 3-1 to Falkirk. Ninth-placed Dumbarton were relegated on 7 May after losing their play-off semi-final to League Two side Edinburgh City.
Champions Kelty Hearts clinched automatic promotion to Scottish League One with a 1-0 win over Stenhousemuir on 26 March.In the play-off final for the last promotion place, Annan Athletic face Edinburgh City over two legs on 10 and 13 May.Bottom side Cowdenbeath will enter a play-off on 7 and 14 May against Lowland League champions Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic (who defeated Highland League winners Fraserburgh over two legs) for the final place in League Two for 2022-23. Bonnyrigg won the first leg 3-0.
