Campionato 2010 2011 Inter Lecce on MiamiGunners Match Of The Week

week 30
20th march 2011:
internazionale milano v. lecce

The Nerazzurri head into tomorrow's match against Lecce in buoyant mood after advancing to the Champions League quarter-finals this week. Inter won 3-2 at Bayern Munich to progress on away goals and set up a meeting with Schalke 04 next month. "It's going to be a difficult game against Schalke," said Inter striker Goran Pandev, who scored the winner against Bayern on Tuesday.

"You have to be a strong team to reach the last eight of the competition.
"We expect a difficult tie but we will do all we can to defend our European title."
Leonardo's men, who have also made it through to the Coppa Italia semi-finals, must now turn their attention back to the domestic competition.
Inter go into tomorrow's match in second place, trailing five points behind Serie A leaders AC Milan after last weekend's 1-1 draw at Brescia although that could be greater come the game given their city rivals play today.
"We have to concentrate in the league," said Pandev. "Because from now on, every game will be a final."
In the last meeting, on 10 november, an injury-ravaged Inter side took a 76th minute lead thanks to a goal by Diego Milito but the champions were unable to fend off a spirited rally by Lecce who equalised through Ruben Olivera's header 10 minutes from time.

P.L. 2010 2011 Tottenham West Ham on MiamiGunners Match Of The Week

2010/11 week 30
19th march 2011:
tottenham hotspur v. west ham united

The game could have huge ramifications for both clubs, with three points very much a must for each side.

Harry Redknapp faces his former club, looking for his current side Spurs to go level with fourth placed Chelsea.
West Ham are currently sitting third from bottom in the Premier League, so points are obviously in desperate need for the Hammers. But history is not on West Ham's side as they have not won at White Hart Lane since 1999. Should West Ham seal victory, they could in theory move as high as 12th with a win - which shows just how close the bottom of the Premier League is.
Tottenham are almost certain to welcome back Gareth Bale to their starting line-up. The Welsh ace has not started a game since the end of January but he is now fit again and should face West Ham. Redknapp will wait until Saturday morning before deciding on William Gallas, who picked up a hamstring injury earlier in the week. Jermain Defoe will also be hoping for a recall to face his former club. West Ham welcome back Gary O'Neil into the their squad as he was cup-tied for their match with Stoke last week.
