The 2021/2022 recently concluded with the promotion/relegation play-offs last month, where Swallows FC came out on top. South African teams have already returned from their holidays in preparations for the new campaign, which will underway in August. The PSL have confirmed the DStv Premiership will get underway on 5 August 2022, while the newly revamped Motsepe Foundation Championship kicks off in the first week of September.



Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will have new captains next season. Here is the full list of potential leaders of both clubs. Their has been a clean sweep of club captains for the Soweto giants with Chiefs and Pirates letting go of Bernard Parker and Happy Jele respectively.
Now, Amakhosi and the Bucs will have to dawn in a new era under new leadership.


The biggest signing in the history of the DStv Premiership has just happened and it cost a staggering R51 MILLION for this man. You won’t believe who he is and which club signed him! It was not Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates who made this signing. However, it was defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns just can’t stop breaking PSL records. The Brazilians have just completed a record R51 MILLION signing for the international Marcelo Allende signing. AmaZulu have completed an incredible 9 deals since Benni McCarthy left the club! This includes former Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns stars…Bongani Zungu looks set to make a spectacular return to the Premier Soccer League. The well traveled midfielder recently parted ways with French side Amiens. According to reports, both Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs were looking at signing Zungu.
