Jinan: Defender Zheng Zheng scored in injury time to earn Shandong Taishan a 2-2 draw in Jinan with last season’s runners-up Yokohama F Marinos on Tuesday in the league phase of the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25. Zheng bundled the ball over the line in the second minute of added time after Yan Matheus looked to have won the game for the Japanese side with an 86th minute strike into the corner in a frantic finish at Jinan Olympic Sports Center. Marinos had pulled level in the 54th minute through Anderson Lopes as the Brazilian striker cancelled out Cryzan’s opener for the home side in the 43rd minute. The result moves both teams onto four points from the first three matches and leaves the pair five points adrift of early leaders league stage Gwangju FC.
