Notts County have achieved promotion to the Football League after defeating Chesterfield
on penalties in the National League play-off final at Wembley. Luke Williams’ side had finished
second in the National League behind the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned Wrexham
and missed out on automatic promotion. But they have now come through the play-offs to earn
promotion to League Two.
