Celtic throw it away after taking a 2-1 lead at half-time. We didn't show up in the second half. They managed to get three goals in the second half. A shambles. "Nothing is won or lost in September and to be honest i always expect to get beat over there. However, what we witnessed today was a total and utter disgrace. We have no fight in us. Say what you like about the huns but they know how to dig in and scrap. We just don't have it in us and havent had it for a very long time. Yet another total capitulation and the latest in a long line over there. I hate to say it but Neil Lennon carries the can for that. This stupid insistence on height to take on the huns is strachan-esque in its incompetence. We have the players to beat them but not the tactical nous and the required fight. You could see within 45 seconds of the restart we had to step it up and we didnt. We let it get away from us and did nothing to stop it. His perseverance with Samaras is just mindboggling. How he can say he has had good games over there is beyond me. He had 1 good game and have played them 6 or 7 times since and offered nothing. He runs about a lot but that is it. Offers nothing else and it was fitting he blocked the only shot on goal we had in the first 20 minutes wandering back from an offside position

Reigning champions Rangers prevented the Scottish title being won on their own patch despite a dramatic late rally from nine-man runaway leaders Celtic.Sone Aluko opened the scoring after a mazy, 10th-minute run into the box.Cha Du-Ri was sent off after 29 minutes, Victor Wanyama followed 12 minutes after the break and Andy Little and Lee Wallace slotted further goals. Celtic captain Scott Brown scored a penalty after Carlos Bocanegra was sent off - then Thomas Rogne headed home. The two late goals the latter in stoppage time could not prevent a Rangers victory that Celtic manager Neil Lennon watched from the media room having been banned from the dugout for the second half by the referee.

It was a loss that ended the visitors' 21-game unbeaten run in the league. The scene had been set for Celtic as they looked to recover from last week's defeat in the Scottish Communities League Cup final by claiming their 43rd league title. A 100th league win over Rangers would have seen Celtic beat the previous earliest date for clinching the title - 4 April - two years to the day since Neil Lennon took over as manager from Tony Mowbray.

L'ancien sélectionneur de l'Ecosse et légendaire entraîneur des Rangers Walter Smith est mort à l'âge de 73 ans. En deux passages sur le banc du club, Smith a remporté 21 trophées, dont sept titres de champion d'Ecosse en huit ans, lors de son premier bail à la tête des Rangers, à partir de 1991. Il entraîne ensuite pendant quatre ans à Everton, en Premier League anglaise, et est brièvement l'adjoint d'Alex Ferguson à Manchester United, avant de devenir sélectionneur de l'Ecosse en 2004. En 2007, il fait son retour à Ibrox Park, remportant trois nouveaux titres de champion et menant les Rangers à la finale de la Coupe de l'UEFA (ancien nom de la Ligue Europa) en 2011, perdue face au Zénith Saint-Pétersbourg. Il prend sa retraite en 2011. "C'est presque impossible de résumer tout ce que représentait Walter pour chacun de nous aux Rangers", a salué le président du club, Douglas Park. "Pour les supporters des Rangers, il était bien plus qu'un entraîneur de football. Walter était l'ami de beaucoup, un leader, un ambassadeur et, surtout, une légende".
