Rangers and Celtic drew their Scottish Women’s Premier League clash 0-0 in front of 3,328 fans at Broadwood Stadium on Saturday evening. The result moved unbeaten Rangers a point clear at the top, while Celtic went second on goal-difference ahead of Glasgow City, who now have a game in hand on both. Rangers were closest to a first-half breakthrough, when a long-range effort from Nicola Docherty was well saved by Pamela Tajonar. Tessel Middag struck a 25-yard free-kick against the underside of the Celtic crossbar, Tajonar later held her follow-up to Kirsty Howat’s shot. Celtic nearly grabbed a stoppage-time winner but Victoria Esson tipped Olivia Fergusson’s header round the post.

Hibernian and Heart of Midlothian are delighted to launch the Women’s Capital Cup as part of an exciting new community engagement project supported by Edinburgh Fund Manager, Baillie Gifford. The Women’s Capital Cup will be one of the most iconic games in the calendar for Hibs and Hearts Women as they look to not only take the local bragging rights, but also a brand-new trophy!T he return fixture takes place at Tynecastle on Sunday 26 February 2023. The trophy will be lifted by the winner of each game.
