Last week’s action provided a better look at how the top four will shake out. Manchester United, Arsenal, and West Ham all suffered brutal blows to their Champions League hopes, while Spurs decimated Aston Villa to move three points clear in fourth. The biggest match of last weekend and perhaps the entire season was Liverpool against Manchester City. It resulted in a 2-2 draw, leaving only one point still separating the sides with seven games remaining. At the other end of the table, Everton and Leeds picked up enormous wins over United and Watford, respectively. Meanwhile, Burnley’s loss at Norwich likely sealed their fate in the drop. The Clarets are four points back of the Toffees for 17th, while Watford and Norwich should now begin preparing for life back in the Championship. Though there are only six games during Matchday 33, the majority come with major implications for the teams involved.
