Pyramids FC could only manage a mere four points as they were relegated to the bottom of Group A. Meanwhile, TP Mazembe secured their spot in the next round of the continental tournament. Pyramids failed to find the back of the net despite an impressive start to the game. TP Mazembe's Joel Beya struck a decisive blow in the 26th minute to put the hosts in the lead. Glody Likonza capitalized on a mistake by Pyramids' goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawi in the dying moments of the first half, doubling TP Mazembe's advantage. Any lingering hopes for Pyramids FC were extinguished during injury time when Patient Mwamba exploited a defensive error to secure TP Mazembe's third goal. This effectively sealed the fate of the Egyptian side and quashed their chances of reaching the quarterfinals.
