Corey Blackett-Taylor scored the winner on his debut as promotion-chasing Bolton beat League One strugglers AFC Wimbledon at the Cherry Red Records Stadium. Bolton took the lead in the 13th minute when John McAtee broke down the right before picking out Blackett-Taylor with a peach of a pass. Blackett-Taylor, who only joined the Trotters on loan from Derby earlier this week, made no mistake, firing the ball into the bottom right corner to put his side ahead. Jake Reeves blasted a long-range shot over the crossbar as the Dons went on the hunt for an equaliser. McAtee could have made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute when he went through on goal after pouncing on a loose pass, but his effort was straight at Dons goalkeeper Nathan Bishop. Alistair Smith's close-range header flew just wide of the right post as the Dons made a strong start to the second half. Steve Seddon got on the end of a flick on before putting the ball behind for a goal kick, and a stoppage-time corner caused a chaotic melee in the penalty area. However, the visitors survived the storm, leaving Wimbledon without a win at home in the league since September.
