Melbourne City defender Kai Trewin scored a 70th-minute penalty to earn his side a comeback point in a 2-2 Derby draw against rivals Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park on Saturday night.City took an early lead through Socceroo Marco Tilio but were pegged back before the break, as Zinedine Machach converted from the penalty spot in the seventh minute of stoppage time after a VAR review of a German Ferreyra challenge on Nikos Vergos. Victory scored three minutes after half-time through Clarismario Santos to take a 2-1 lead but conceded a penalty of their own midway through the second half; City defender Trewin took on penalty-taking duties and made no mistake from the spot, sending Victory keeper Mitch Langerak the wrong way to equalise at 2-2.
