Danny Batth struck late to earn Rovers a deserved point against Leeds United at Elland Road in a 1-1 draw against the table-toppers. The defender fired home from inside the box to level in the 90th minute to ensure Rovers began 2025 with a hard-fought point on the road. After a dubious penalty was awarded the hosts’ way with only three minutes remaining, Pascal Struijk struck from 12 yards, sending Aynsley Pears the wrong way to put the Yorkshiremen ahead. However, typically, Rovers showed the fight, grit and the bit of quality needed to earn their point, with Owen Beck’s corner being headed back across goal by Makhtar Gueye, with Batth stabbing home for his second of the season.
