Super Falcons of Nigeria star Francisca Ordega is back among the goals. The 29-year-old forward was in action as CSKA Moscow recorded a  comfortable 5-0 victory against rivals Rubin Kazan in a Russian Women's Football Championship fixture. Ordega, a Super Falcons of Nigeria veteran, played an in-and-out role at the recently concluded 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. She started the opening game against Olympic champions Canada but was an unused substitute in the other two group games against hosts Australia and the Republic of Ireland. Ordega, however, returned to the pitch for the Super Falcons as they lost on penalties to the Lionesses of England in the round of 16.


The Gboko-born star scored the second goal of the game in the 43rd minute.Ordega, who was unable to take her opportunity at the World Cup, found the next in style. The victory means Ordega and her CSKA Moscow side are at the top of the league in Russia. Now at the top of the league, Ordega returns to action when CSKA Moscow travels to face Zvezda Moscow in their next league fixture scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2023.Ordega, played an integral role as the Super Falcons were ranked 10th by FIFA after the 2023 Women's World Cup.
