The Polish Football Association decided to start the PKO Ekstraklasa 2023/24 season on July 21, 2023, and end on May 25, 2024. The event is played all across Poland and consists of 18 teams competing for the title. Rakow Czestochowa are the defending champions, having won their first league title last season. Each team plays a total of 34 matches throughout the tournament to determine the champion in the classic double round-robin format. Rakow Czestochowa is definitely the most improved club in the last four years in the Ekstraklasa. They finally won their first championship in 2023 after finishing in second place in both 2022 and 2021, even though they won the Polish Cup in those years. They were in the top two in the last three seasons, and they will definitely compete for this one.
Legia Warsaw has been one of the most successful Polish clubs in history. They finished second in the league last season with 66 points, which is two more than they had in their last championship win in 2021. Legia has a very good roster with talented players like Josué, Mladenovic, and Carlitos. They are the favorites to win the league, but not by a big margin. Lech Poznan finished in third place last season after winning the league in 2022. They have been a little inconsistent in recent years, but they are still a big threat to grab the title in any season. Lech Poznan knows how to win championships, as they have won seven of them before. Amaral, Ishak, and Rebocho are all weapons for the Polish club next season.
