Pacific FC’s perfect home record at Langford’s Starlight Stadium ended with a drab nil-nil draw against York United. The visitors, boasting the best defence in the Canadian Premier League, had conceded just five goals all season heading into the game and PFC, despite its league-leading attack, never threatened to break down the Ontarians’ stout defence. “Credit to them,” Pacific head coach, James Merriman, said after the match. “They brought a lot of intensity and physicality to the match, and I thought we were maybe a little bit slow in the middle third and transition, at times, it could have gone a little bit quicker, we could have caught them out, but overall it was a high intensity, good game.”
