Greta Adami first goal for the Club was worth three points as the Rossonere were victorious in a tricky clash away from home with Sampdoria. It ended 1-0, but it could have been more for Maurizio Ganz's side, who were thwarted on more than one occasion by former Rossonere 'keeper Selena Babb. The victory was deserved, in spite of a few tense moments towards the end of the match. AC Milan have emerged victorious from their first two matchdays in Women's Serie A, as has been the case in each of the last four seasons and have now won twelve of their last 15 away games, ten of which have been clean sheets. There's plenty of praise to be meted out for individual performances, such as Linda Tucceri Cimini in her first game of the season, and who proved decisive with an assist (her fifth since the start of last season). A mention obviously has to go to Greta Adami for the goal, but also to Fufi, who made 12 recoveries in 90 minutes. There were a lot of good signs but the Rossonere need a repeat performance against Lazio, again away from home.

The first half proved to be target practice for the Rossoneri, who just couldn't break the deadlock. After a period of the two teams working each other out and a bruising opening phase, captain Giacinti got the ball rolling with three different chances; a half bicycle kick that was an easy save for Babb (17'), a shot on the turn from inside the box that went wide (24') and an effort cleared off the line by Novellino after rounding the goalkeeper. It was Vero's turn in the 35th minute as she fired at Babb from a tight angle. Adami had a go too, hitting the post following Giacinti's ball (41').

The second half began with the same spirit on the front foot. Samp dug in, while AC Milan provided a near-constant goal threat. The opener came in the 54th minute; Tucceri Cimini swung in the corner and it was headed home by Adami at the near post for her first AC Milan goal. One wasn't enough and Ganz's side continued to press. In the 58th minute, the Rossonere went close through Jane, who tried to catch Babb out from distance; the Samp stopper scrambled back and pushed it behind for a corner. The Dutch goalkeeper, who was at AC Milan last season, was forced into action once more on the hour mark with a brilliant reflex save to deny Bergamaschi. The Rossonere's number 7 then proved decisive inside her own half a minute later when she cleared Tarenzi's effort off the goalline. That scare didn't change the flow of the game but Babb kept up her stunning form and denied Giacinti once again. Samp caused a few scares as the game wound to a close but the result was in the bag.

Niente impresa per la Sampdoria nella seconda giornata del campionato di Serie A femminile dopo la vittoria all'esorido con la Lazio. La squadra genovese esce sconfitta 1-0 contro il Milan, una delle più forti formazioni del torneo, ma lo fa a testa alta.  Partono forte le lombarde, il primo tempo è quasi tutto di marca rossonera ed è soprattutto bomber Giacinti a mettere in difficoltà le padrone di casa. L’attaccante al 9’ impegna Babb in girata, poi viene fermata sulla linea dal provvidenziale intervento di Novellino. La risposta blucerchiata arriva quasi al tramonto della prima frazione con Rincon che colpisce la traversa direttamente da calcio d’angolo A inizio ripresa il Milan passa e lo fa con l’incornata di Adami al 53’ su cui Babb questa volta non può nulla. Otto minuti più tardi grande occasione per la Samp ma Bergamaschi ferma il pallone destinato in porta sulla linea. Le padrone di casa iniziano a credere nel colpo del pareggio ma difettano ancora nelle conclusioni, al 73’ grande giocata di Martinez che pesca Tarenzi in area ma la blucerchiata sbaglia a pochi passi dalla porta.  E’ l’ultimo squillo di una gara da cui la Sampdoria trae comunque ottime indicazioni. Le genovesi escono sconfitte ma a testa alta contro una delle corazzate del campionato di Serie A femminile
