D'abord le joueur demande au public de se lever, puis de se taire, puis ils crient « bir-iki-üç » (un-deux-trois), « Cim bom bom » (le surnom donné à Galatasaray) tout en tapant des mains, et puis « lalalalalala oooh Cim bom booomm ».

À la mi-saison 2003-2004, Galatasaray SK décide de recruter la nouvelle révélation du football turc Necati Ates, où il prend part à 123 matchs et marque 58 buts en 4 saisons. Il gagne une Coupe de Turquie au côté de Franck Ribéry contre Fenerbahçe SK sur un score écrasant de 5-1, il est aussi sacré Champion de Turquie en 2006-2007 avec l'entraîneur Eric Gerets.

En 2004,Song part pour Galatasaray. Après quelques conflits avec Éric Gerets, il trouve une place de titulaire lors du départ de celui-ci. Après quatre saisons passées à Istanbul, et deux titres de champion de Turquie glanés, Song part pour Trabzonspor, où il côtoie un ancien partenaire à Lens, Daouda Jabi.
