A Tom Lawrence Olimpico goal was the highlight of Perth Glory’s ruthless 3-0 dismantling of Central Coast Mariners at HBF Park. The 3-0 scoreline was the least Perth deserved, with their domination of the game comprehensive especially in the first half. As well as the goal scorers, starting debutant Giovanni De Abreu kept the tempo up for the Glory, and Rhys Bozinovski was consistently threatening. The Mariners had few bright spots aside from the form of Redmayne; his six saves kept the scoreline relatively respectable for CCM. The result means that CCM remain at the foot of the table, while Perth move up to 7th – just a point below 6th placed Melbourne Victory. The Glory will be looking to frank their form against Brisbane Roar at HBF Park next week, while the Mariners will host Macarthur at polytec Stadium.
