Al Nassr qualified Al Fayha 2-0 Wednesday in the AFC Champions League 2023-24 quarter-finals at Al Awwal Park. The hosts began the second leg as they did the first, immediately putting Al Fayha’s defense under immense pressure from the kick-off. Within 16 minutes, their persistence paid off. A clever ball from Abdullah Al Khaibari was lifted into the box, where Otavio’s header went through Vladimir Stojkovic’s legs to give Al Nassr the lead. Ronaldo got on the scoresheet in the 86th minute for his eighth goal in as many games. The waves of attacks continued for Al Nassr, whose goalscorer was doing his best to extend his team’s lead. Progression to the next stage of the competition sees Al Nassr take on United Arab Emirates Al Ain FC for a place in the semi-final.
