Arsenal move to within three points of the leaders Chelsea with an ultimately emphatic win at Prenton Park. It took them a long time to turn possession into chances, never mind goal, but by the end they were creating opportunities almost at will. Vivianne Miedema put them ahead after an hour with a deflected long-range drive; nine minutes later, Caitlin Foord finished off a good move to give Arsenal a two-goal cushion. Liverpool’s effort was beyond reproach, particularly in defence, but they didn’t have a shot on target until the 94th minute. They can have no complaints.
