In the 40-minute programme, Amor offers an intimate, personal interview looking back at the different photographs in the titular album, with one of his first memories being the sight of Diego Maradona at the inauguration of the Mini Estadi in 1982. He was only 14 when he came on for the Argentinian superstar towards the end of a game played by representatives of Barça and Barça Atlètic, as the reserve team was known in those days. The current Head of Institutional and Sporting Relations for the FC Barcelona first team also speaks about his own arrival in the senior team and life under the orders of Johan Cruyff, and how he struggled in his first two seasons to adapt to the Dutch maestro’s philosophy: It then moves on to 5 April 1990, when Barça beat the Real Madrid of the famous Quinta del Buitre in the Copa del Rey Final, a win he claims gave the team the strength for the amazing successes that followed.

“After two seasons we felt under the obligation to win the league”, says the former player. Hence the importance of the 1990-91 season, when the team had to overcome all kinds of injury woes, but stayed strong and mature and finally won the coveted title, and then won three more in the following years in what would come to be known as the Dream Team era. The episode also focuses strongly on Wembley 1992, when Barça beat Sampdoria to win the European Cup for the first time. Amor couldn’t play in that game after getting sent off in the semi-final against Benfica. But he remembers that semi as if it were the final itself. He also recalls several other big wins for the team, but doesn’t ignore the less pleasant memories, such as the huge disappointment of losing the 1994 final in Athens, 4-0 to AC Milan. The documentary ends with Amor’s final years at Camp Nou, before he left for Fiorentina, and with Bobby Robson and Louis van Gaal as his last managers at Barça. It was under the Dutchman that Amor played his final games for the team in 1998, and here he reminds us what a wonderful professional he was.
