If that was really Wellington Phoenix's final game at Sky Stadium this season, it sure was some way to go out. The attacking trio of Ulises Dávila, Gary Hooper and David Ball combined to deliver a resounding 3-0 win over Melbourne Victory on Sunday, a result that effectively ends the opposition's playoff hopes. Their fourth consecutive win and biggest of the season moves Phoenix within just one point of second-place Melbourne City, but it remains to be seen whether the Ufuk Talay's side will be in contention to host a playoff game due to the current restrictions in place to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. Phoenix general manager David Dome told Sky Sport before kickoff that the club will likely see out their remaining six games in Australia, even though the players and staff will have to enter 14-days of self-isolation upon arrival. He conceded players will have the option to decline if they wish to stay in Wellington.
