Les Bristol Rovers devaient réaliser un gros carton pour obtenir (à la différence de buts) leur ticket en League One, la D3 anglaise, samedi face à Northampton. Lors de la dernière journée de League Two, les joueurs de Joey Barton ont finalement battu Scunthorpe 7-0 après un scenario complètement fou. Un vrai miracle. Cela valait bien deux envahissements de terrain… Les fans de Bristol ne sont pas près d’oublier ce samedi 7 mai 2022. A l’occasion de la dernière journée de League Two, l’équipe entraînée par l’ancien sulfureux milieu de terrain de l’OM, Joey Barton, 4eme du classement, avait une chance infime de terminer à la 3eme place synonyme de montée en League One, la D3 anglaise.
