The Erik ten Hag era at Ajax has come to an end. The trainer, who switches to English Manchester United, has drawn against Vitesse in his very last match with Ajax: 2-2. Ajax had become champion on Wednesday and Vitesse had previously secured the play-offs for European football. So there was nothing else at stake in Arnhem than the honour. Jurriën Timber (has been dealing with complaints for a long time) and Noussair Mazraoui (ill) were missing against Vitesse. Ten Hag let 21-year-old goalkeeper Jay Gorter make his debut in his last game. Brian Brobbey also got a starting spot and he was, as often this season, important for the team from Amsterdam. The attacker took the 0-1 early in the game after a subtle pass from Dusan Tadic, who gave his nineteenth assist. For Brobbey it was already his sixth goal in ten matches.
