In what is known as one of the greatest games in Premier League history, Manchester United came back from three goals down to seal a memorable victory in this eight-goal thriller at White Hart Lane. The home side had scored through Dean Richards, Les Ferdinand and Christian Ziege but United, after presumably been given a rollicking by Sir Alex Ferguson at half-time, came out firing in the second half.
Andy Cole, Laurent Blanc, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Juan Sebastian Veron and David Beckham found the net for the visitors. The home support remained shell-shocked as the then Premier League champions went home with a victory that looked unlikely midway through the match.
