Arsenal and Chelsea continued to enjoy their tit for tat battle well into 1999. It was there that Arsenal travelled to Stamford Bridge where Chelsea had yet to concede a goal all season.
Both sides traded blows and created plenty of chances but there was only one man this game was to belong to. Nwankwo Kanu was a surprise selection ahead of Dennis Bergkamp for one of the biggest games of the season. Tore Andre Flo and Dan Petrescu put Chelsea two up and the Blues looked like they were coasting to victory. Thierry Henry was introduced in the 62nd minute for Freddie Ljungberg as Arsene Wenger set about trying to get something from the game.
Kanu's first two were predatory strikes, but his third was simply out of this world and well worth enjoying over and over again.
