l'Inter se frotte les mains. Il est encore trop tôt pour parler d'un effet Leonardo. Toujours est-il que l'arrivée du Brésilien sur le banc nerazzuro porte déjà ses fruits sur le strict plan comptable. A Catane (2-1), le champion d'Italie a signé sa deuxième victoire de la semaine. Un homme incarne le renouveau intériste : il s'agit d'Esteban Cambiasso. Le milieu défensif argentin avait déjà endossé le costume du buteur face à Naples (3-1). Il a récidivé à Catane, en inscrivant un doublé empreint d'opportunisme. Il a d'abord égalisé avec sang froid sur un service millimétré de Stankovic (74e). Dans la foulée, il a placé une tête piquée imparable, sur une merveille de centre de Maicon (79e). La bande à Leonardo n'a plus "que" onze points de retard sur son rival milanais. Mais elle compte toujours deux matches en retard, face à Cesena et la Fiorentina. La question brûle désormais toutes les lèvres en Italie : et si l'Inter n'avait pas dit son dernier mot dans la course au Scudetto ?

Leonardo's predecessor, Rafael Benitez, failed to gain the support or respect of the players and lost the battle before he had even taken to the battlefield; Leonardo, on the other hand, has his players firmly behind him already, and not with daggers.However, Inter should do well not to get carried away with the victory over a Napoli side who tend to struggle against the bigger teams as the Italian and European champions head to Sicily to confront Catania. Last season under Jose Mourinho the Beneamata suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat in the corresponding fixture and given the Rossazzurri's strong record at home, Leonardo must be careful about his tactics and gameplan.
