Aziel Jackson a inscrit son premier but avec ces mêmes Whitecaps, offrant du coup la victoire 1-0 à Vancouver face au Real Salt Lake. Le milieu de terrain américain a trompé le gardien, Rafael Cabral, d’un coup de la gauche à la 57e minute, signant l’unique but de la partie. Jackson a d’abord monté le ballon sur le flanc gauche en tricotant de belle façon avant de passer à un coéquipier qui a poursuivi l’attaque. Au final, le ballon s’est retrouvé sur le pied de Tate Johnson, dont le tir a été bloqué par un défenseur. Jackson est alors revenu dans le décor en tirant le ballon libre depuis la surface de réparation pour le seul but de la rencontre. Jackson est passé aux Whitecaps à la fin janvier sous forme de prêt en provenance du club polonais Jagiellonia Białystok, jusqu’en juin 2026. L’accord de prêt comprend une option d’achat.
