Chelsea defeated Tottenham 2-0 to boost their faint hopes of retaining the Women’s Super League title, as Madonna watched from the stands at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Goals from Keira Walsh and Alyssa Thompson either side of half-time ended Chelsea’s run of back-to-back defeats and left Sonia Bompastor’s team nine points off the leaders Manchester City, who lost 1-0 against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier on Sunday.
