Auckland FC’s unbeaten run in A-League Men has stretched to a dozen matches, though they had to dig deep to make that happen, and three points remained elusive for the fifth time in their last six outings. Two screamers from Adrian Segecic gave Sydney FC a 2-0 led half an hour into their clash at Allianz Stadium on Saturday evening, but goals from Logan Rogerson and Francis de Vries ensured Auckland secured a 2-2 draw. While Steve Corica’s side will be pleased to have come from behind to claim a point, and while they remain in control of their own destiny, the prospect of a winner-takes-all last-round clash with Western United is now firmly on the cards.
