Adelaide United are now up into second spot on the Ninja A-League ladder after goals from Erin Healy and Chelsie Dawber saw them defeat Perth Glory 3-0 at Coopers Stadium and extend their unbeaten streak to a club-record eight games. It took the home side just eight minutes to break the deadlock and they did it in style; Healy rifling a low effort beyond the keeper and into the bottom corner after she was picked out by Emily Condon on Friday. The Reds then doubled their lead in the 31st minute as Lucia Leon reached the byline and picked out Dawber inside the six-yard box and the forward did the rest, lifting her effort over keeper Casey Dumont from a tight angle to make it 2-0. Adelaide had chances to extend their lead in the second-half and eventually added the third goal deep into stoppage-time as Healy smashed the ball home from close range in the 93rd minute to seal their ninth league win of the season. The result moves Adrian Stenta’s side up into second spot on the ladder and now just four points behind league-leaders Melbourne City.
