Girona fought back from a goal down to claim an astonishing 2-1 win over Real Madrid, inflicting serious damage on the capital club’s title defence. The result means Zinedine Zidane’s side are now eight points adrift of pacesetters Barcelona at the top of the Liga table, but Real can have no complaints.
