Stellenbosch FC finally broke through in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages, securing their first victory with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Angolan side Lunda Sul at Estadio 11 de Novembro on Sunday. This crucial win in Group B will provide a much-needed boost of confidence for the SA side as they strive to advance further in the competition. In the other two previous matches, Stellenbosch suffered defeats. Firstly, they were defeated by Malian side Stade Malien 2-0 away from home. Then, the Cape Town side lost 3-1 against Moroccan outfit RS Berkane
