Yoshinori Muto scored a last-gasp leveler as leaders Vissel Kobe dramatically drew 1-1 at 10-man Kashiwa Reysol on Saturday, eking out a precious point heading into the final round of the J-League first division. Holders Kobe moved up to 69 points, three points above Machida Zelvia, who won 1-0 at home against Kyoto Sanga. Sanfrecce Hiroshima, four points adrift of Kobe, on Sunday will host Consadole Sapporo, whose relegation was confirmed after eight seasons in the top flight. Kashiwa could have clinched their survival with a win but conceded in stoppage time for the fifth straight game as they settled for a point and inched up to 41 points.Albirex Niigata lost 1-0 at home to Gamba Osaka and sit behind Kashiwa on goal difference in 17th, while Jubilo Iwata claimed a huge 2-1 comeback win at home over FC Tokyo that moved them to 38 points and kept their slim hopes alive. "It really was the minimum, but there's no single point bigger than this," Muto said after his crucial goal at Sankyo Frontier Stadium. "There were players who weren't fully prepared for a really important game like this...we want to clinch it with an emphatic win in the next game." Kashiwa took a fifth-minute lead through Kosuke Kinoshita's header off a left corner from Kohei Tezuka, who sent his 43rd-minute free-kick just over as the hosts' intense play denied Kobe any real opening in the first half.

Kinoshita steered a big chance wide after being played through by Matheus Savio's reverse ball in the 59th minute, and substitute Tomoya Koyamatsu wasted another opportunity in the 70th minute before Kobe finally began to test the opposing goal. Center-back Matheus Thuler shot low and straight at Kenta Matsumoto, and the keeper denied Yuya Osako from close range before Kashiwa left-back Diego gave away a penalty in injury time, getting sent off for a second yellow for elbowing Muto in an aerial challenge in the box. Osako stepped up and blasted over the bar, but more drama was to come in the whirlwind finale, with the forward's header off a right corner hitting the near post before Muto steered home a loose ball for a goal initially disallowed for offside, then counted upon video review. Elsewhere, Kashima Antlers beat Cerezo Osaka 2-0, Kawasaki Frontale edged Tokyo Verdy 5-4, and Yokohama F Marinos claimed a 3-2 comeback win over Shonan Bellmare, all away from home. Relegated Sagan Tosu won 3-0 away to Nagoya Grampus, while Avispa Fukuoka saw off Urawa Reds 1-0 at home.
