Cape Town City denied Mamelodi Sundowns an invincible PSL season as they beat the already-crowned champions 1-0 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on matchday 30 on Saturday afternoon. The Brazilians controlled the ball more than the Citizens almost the entire match, but both teams did not create many chances. The Eric Tinkler-led team broke the deadlock through Jaedin Rhodes in the 61st minute after Masandawana were caught napping at the back. The Tshwane giants did everything to find an equalising goal but City stood firm at the back and ultimately, the game ended 1-0 in favour of the Citizens who finished fifth in the league standings.
