Juan Sebastián Verón is considered one of the first complete midfielders in the modern game, but his record-breaking move to the Premier League in 2001 almost didn't happen. The Argentinian midfielder was a box-to-box player, who created chances, scored, defended and did everything in between to be considered one of the best playmakers of his generation. Yet he didn't think beyond a career with his boyhood club. Thankfully, everyone around him knew he was destined for bigger things in the football world. "I grew up in a dressing room with a football.
