Nashville SC fell victim to familiar problems in Game 1 of its first-round MLS Cup playoff series against Orlando City SC. Unable to control possession or convert on the few chances it did earn, Nashville lost 1-0 Monday night at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida. "Out of defeat, there’s certainly some things we can take away from it," Nashville coach Gary Smith said. " . . . Our main focus is trying to make the back of the net more often. Is it a case of creating more? I’d actually say it’s more a case of being more clinical in vital moments. Against good sides, you’re not going to be creating a hatful of chances." Game 2 of the best-of-three series is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 7.
