More than 16,000 fans saw a sensational first home derby in the new Generali-Arena. Christian Schoissengeyr scored the violet lead, after Marvin Potzmann's equalizer and a red card against Dejan Ljubicic, the victory was made clear by James Jeggo, Christoph Monschein, Florian Klein, Alon Turgeman and Mateo Barac's own goal - 6-1. Thomas Letsch started the 328th Vienna Derby with Thomas Ebner left in the back four, James Jeggo and Uroš Matić formed the defensive part in midfield, Dominik Prokop started alongside Maximilian Sax in the offensive. Letsch relied on Bright Edomwonyi and Christoph Monschein up front. Rapid coach Dietmar Kühbauer made six changes in his starting line-up after the victory against the Glasgow Rangers on Thursday: Christopher Dibon and Marvin Potzmann started in the defence, Dejan Ljubicic, Christoph Knasmüllner and Philipp Schobesberger and Deni Alar were new in the line-up.
