Japan dominated and won with a clear 5-1, and those numbers are still a bit difficult to evaluate. The thirty-degree heat made the spectators sweaty and the pace of the match was for long periods, for understandable reasons, not very high. – I think we start well but we gave them too much ball possession, especially in the second half. Some things are very good but we felt very tired. – We get to learn from this match, we have to be more aggressive and lift the team. It is still good that we get a match against such a ball-safe team, says national team captain Anna Signeul to Yle.

- C'est excitant de jouer contre le Japon. C'est une très bonne équipe de passes avec des jambes rapides. Leur jeu de contrôle de balle rappelle l'Espagne, ils nous résistent donc bien. Le match japonais nous prépare à la rapidité du jeu. Nous devons être prêts et sur nos gardes. Nous voulons voir l'équipe travailler ensemble et les distances restent bonnes, a commenté l'entraîneur-chef.
