 Tigres UANL Femenil earned a 2-nil victory against Portland Thorns FC in the Semifinals of the 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals on Wednesday at Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, Mexico. The hosts took the lead in the 10’ through a corner kick opportunity as Aaliyah Farmer headed in a service from Jacqueline Ovalle. Olivia Moultrie attempted to equalize from outside the box in the 12’ but Itzel González was there to collect the attempt. Thembi Kgatlana extended the Tigres lead in the 27’ by pouncing on an error from Thorns FC goalkeeper Bella Bixby. Tigres Femenil advances to the championship match against NJ/NY Gotham FC while Portland Thorns FC will face Club América Femenil in the Third Place Match. Both encounters will take place on Saturday at Estadio Universitario. The winner of the Final will be the inaugural Concacaf W Champions Cup winner and advance to the 2026 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup and book a place in the 2028 FIFA Women’s Club World Cup.
