Pumas UNAM and Vancouver Whitecaps FC drew 2-2, with aggregate tied at 3-3 and the Whitecaps winning the series on away goals, in the second leg of their quarterfinals series as the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup continued Wednesday at Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City, Mexico. The visitors found the breakthrough goal in the 33’, with Sebastian Berhalter scoring from a backheel finish in the center on the box to capitalize on an assist from Daniel Ríos. Pumas equalized in the 37’ with Guillermo Martínez taking advantage of a rebound, following a shot from Adalberto Carrasquilla, and striking from inside the penalty area. Martínez had two dangerous opportunities for the hosts with headers inside the box in the 48’ and 58’, but his attempts were met by saves from Whitecaps goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka.
