The Diski Challenge's version of the Soweto derby ended in a 1-1 draw between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Sunday. Mehluleli Maphumulo stunned Kaizer Chiefs with an audacious strike, giving Orlando Pirates the lead. However, Donay Jansen quickly equalised for Kaizer Chiefs, capitalising on a cutback.

Despite the arrival of a new coach, Limpopo side Baroka FC failed to secure a win against Richards Bay in their PSL Promotion Playoffs match in Lebowakgomo on Saturday. Bakgaga came into the match following a 1-0 loss to the University of Pretoria in their first match. The result meant Baroka remain at the bottom of the mini-league log after two matches. Richards Bay are top with four points while AmaTuks are second with three points.
