Former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison believes the title race "is still wide open" after Liverpool cut the gap to leaders Manchester City to nine points with victory over Leicester. The Reds have a game in hand on Pep Guardiola's side and have to play City again before the end of the season. "They're still in it - if they win those two games, it's down to three points," Morrison told BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast. "I think it will go right down to wire." Liverpool showed their wealth of attacking talent against Leicester, with Luis Diaz impressing on his full debut and Mohamed Salah returning off the bench. Sadio Mane is also close to being in contention after winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal. "Jurgen Klopp has so many options," said Morrison. "If he can keep everyone fit, they have a great opportunity. "Guardiola knows it's not over. I never thought it was. There are lots of ups and downs in the Premier League and there is still a long way to go."

Tottenham is looking to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat at home to Southampton in midweek as they host Wolves today. Elsewhere, Newcastle are at home to Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa while his boyhood team Liverpool travel to Turf Moor for a clash with Burnley. And Leicester are at home to West Ham. Everton secured their first Premier League win under new boss Frank Lampard today. The 3-0 victory over Leeds ends a run of six league games without a win. The Hornets remain 19th in the Premier League table on 15 points. However, since Hodgson took over from Claudio Ranieri as manager last month they have not won a game.

Arguably their weakest area has been the defence Brighton were regularly allowed to play in acres of space which enabled them to create many goalscoring opportunities. The Toffees dominated the match from start to finish with the likes of Iwobi, Gordon and Richarlison all providing stand-out performances. Leeds did not have a shot on target and barely looked like scoring. Marcelo Bielsa will be disappointed with the result. Watford's troubles continue as they are dominated by Brighton at home. The Seagulls were in control throughout the game whilst the Hornets were barely given a look-in. Watford are still yet to score a goal under Roy Hodgson. Brentford 0-0 Crystal Palace A fairly uneventful game culminates with the points being shared. Neither side looked likely to score. Manchester United have been heavily criticised for an 'embarrassing' attempt to beat an offside trap during their dismal 1-1 draw with Southampton on Saturday. Southampton striker Che Adams cancelled out Jadon Sancho's early goal for the Red Devils.
